About

Corey S Ribotsky is a contemporary painter based in New York City. He graduated from New York University with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in 1982. His work has been featured in numerous galleries and museums. A number of awards have been presented to Corey, including two SITES travelling exhibits sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution.

In his paintings, Corey S Ribotsky observes the natural world in a keen way. His work has been influenced by rural landscapes in the Midwest as well as wooded hills and river valleys in the north. He exhibits a strong connection with nature by portraying animals in their natural habitat. A clear example of this passion can be found in his love for birds, from their peaceful innocence to their tension for survival. In order to capture time and place in the landscape, he creates many of his works en plein air.

Corey S Ribotsky established his own studio in 2008 and has exhibited both domestically and internationally. Currently, he is developing a range of carved plaster works based on the colours and subjects that surround and inspire him.

Aside from running his own studio/gallery, Corey supplies other galleries across the country. However, a number of these have closed their doors, so he is going online to increase his presence, which is challenging. His work is sold and promoted internationally by a couple of agencies who help pay the bills and give him exposure through national chains. Since Corey's work is recognized worldwide, he has a loyal following of fans and collectors.

He infused most of his early works with red, gold, and bronze. In many of his recent works, he emphasizes certain elements with bronze and gold. Corey S Ribotsky's work is described as timeless art by a recently published critique from the International Confederation of Art Critics.
